Bastille Day Pic Nic (July 14th, 2006):

The numerous guests enjoyed a nice evening at Terwileger Lodge on Bastille Day. The heat kept the guests inside where the atmosphere was great.

The evening started with a few speeches and a game with prizes, which consisted in guessing the names of famous people, either French or American, such as the Marquis de La Fayette, Jean Reno or George Washington.

The guests then helped themselves to the fabulous French buffet: Tuna salad Nice-style, basquaise chicken and ratatouille. A few French cheeses with fresh baguettes were of course available before the desert: Crepes Suzette with strawberries and whipped cream. Red and white wines complemented the food nicely.

French and English discussions were uninterrupted all along.

A karaoke game took up the rest of the evening, it was a lot of fun.
